Configuring Your Deployment Technology

App Portal supports Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Microsoft System Center 2012 Configuration Manager, Intune, Altiris Client Management Suite 7.1 or later, and Workspace ONE UEM (for mobile applications), Jamf Pro (for Macintosh desktop applications), and Jamf Cloud.

You connect App Portal to a deployment technology and enter configuration settings on the tabs of the Site Management > Settings > Deployment view.

• Common—To select the deployment technology that App Portal should use to perform specific tasks, make selections on the Common tab. See Entering Common Deployment Technology Settings.

• Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager—To connect App Portal to Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, enter server connection settings on the ConfigMgr tab. See Entering Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager Deployment Technology Settings.

• System Center 2012 Configuration Manager—To connect App Portal to System Center 2012 Configuration Manager, enter server connection settings on the SCCM 2012 tab. See Entering System Center 2012 Configuration Manager Deployment Technology Settings.

• Microsoft Intune—To connect App Portal to Intune, enter server connection settings on the Intune tab. See Entering Intune Deployment Technology Settings.

Starting with App Portal 2013, your deployment technology is no longer specified during App Portal installation. Instead, you specify your deployment technology connection settings on the configuration screens displayed upon initial startup (as described in the Getting Started section under Specifying Deployment Technology Settings) or on the Site Management > Settings > Deployment view.
